Gaining

Skin elasticity

This isn't actually applicable to me, but I'm curious if any one knows anything about this.

I know that at a certain point, after an individual gains a significant amount of weight, if he or she were to lose that weight, they would be left with varying degrees of "excess" skin.

Does anyone have any idea, generally--in terms of fat gain--how much one usually must gain before his or her skin stretches beyond it's ability to retain it's original tautness?
